Handmade Whimsy

every whim Handmade

Whimsical things with vintage flair, stitched from upcycled and thrifted materials. No two quite alike.

The Every Whim Handmade logo, hand-crocheted in plum and pink yarn on a pale pink granny square, with a small crocheted sparkle.

About me

One person, a sewing machine, and a very large pile of thrifted fabric.

I make whimsical things with vintage flair — chickens and fish that turn out to be bags, granny-square gloves and bonnets, patchwork totes, bandanas and wall hangings — almost all of it from upcycled and secondhand materials.

A tablecloth nobody wanted becomes a bag. A worn-out quilt top becomes a head scarf. Vintage sheets, orphaned curtains, odd yardage from the back of a thrift store bin — I take the things that were headed for the landfill and give them a much louder second life.

Nothing here is mass-produced, and nothing is quite like anything else. That's the whole point.

My creations

Made from what somebody else gave up on.

A rotating pile of one-offs. What's here today is what I've been making lately — the fairs get first pick, and Instagram gets the rest.

Suncatchers, bowl cozies, wall hangings and fabric bundles come along to most fairs too. New things appear on Instagram first.
